Solstice.

Solstice.

The sun stands still today.

Fields of brown, and something barren

Everywhere you look.

As above, so below.

Cloaked in darkness now,

Can you enter in?

This is a holy day.

For weeks, and months we have been preparing

Our hearts.

34 years, I have visited this day.

Yet this is the first one I understand.

A holy day,

The final surrender.

Tomorrow, the light will begin to grow again.
